Months Job Description Indoor Responsibilities may include:
Receiving shipments and supplies, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting seed, data collection using electronic devices, data labeling and warehousing seed work.
Individuals may also be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
Outdoor Field Responsibilities include:
Assisting with planting, staking research plots, pollinating, data collection using electronic devices, research plot maintenance, hand harvest, process improvement projects, preventive maintenance of equipment, aiding with spraying, and other special projects.
Skills Required Past pesticide application experience is desirable but not required.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening Experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Office and iOS devices for data collection, ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately.
Ability to perform repetitive job tasks accurately.
Must be 18 years of age minimum and able to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and long periods of standing.
Field labor activities occur outdoors for long periods of time with exposure to the elements.
Team members may need to drive company vehicles during work hours.
Compliance with company and USDA-APHIS trainings and policies is required.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written tasks and safety instructions delivered in English.
We are looking for people who can operate field equipment and are willing /able to apply for the Illinois Applicators License via Client to help with field pesticide application activities.
Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check Valid driver's license Weekend work and extended hours will be required during the peak seasons.
